CCT RULES & REGULATIONS

All drivers must personally attend the mandatory drivers briefing prior to the event. 

Participants will be allowed to join if they are TCC members and have participated for more than 3 track days in the past 12 months. Exceptions will be made if participant can proof they have participated in more than 3 track days elsewhere. TCC will disallow participants who are unable to proof prior track experience without further considerations or appeal. 

Safety is the number 1 priority for the event, TCC reserve the rights to disqualify any participants who demonstrate no consideration for safety to anyone in the event ecosystem. 

CLASSIFICATIONS:

There will be 3 Groups with the following classifications:

  • 3001cc & above (Super Sports) 
  • i.e Mitsubishi Evolution, Subaru WRX, VW GTi, Seat Leon Cupra, Mercedes A35, A45, BMW 335i, Toyota Supra, Mazda RX7, Nissan Silvia, Lotus Exige
  • 1701cc to 3000cc (Sports Touring)
  • i.e Honda S2000, FD2R, Subaru BRZ, Toyota AE86, Honda Civic 1.5 Turbo, Volkswagen Golf 1.4 Turbo, Lotus Elise, Toyota GR Yaris
  • 1700cc & below (Sports Compact)
  • i.e Suzuki Swift Sport, Honda Jazz, Toyota Vios, Proton Saga, Mazda 2
  • One Make Class (subject to approval)
  • If you are able to gather 5 cars of the same model to take part, TCC will have a one make class. For example, MX5 Cup, Vios Cup, Mini Cup, Prius Cup. Please note that it is your responsibility to ensure that the cars are participating based on your one-make criteria. For example, TCC will not take the responsibility to scrutineer for a 1.6/1.8 or 2.0 Miata MX5.
Calculation of Engine CC:
Rotary is CC x 1.8 (For example: RX8 is 1300 x 1.8 = 2430cc)
Turbo/Supercharger is CC x 1.7 (For example: Honda Civic 1.5 Turbo = 1498 x 1.7 = 2546cc) 

*Segregation of classes is based on the discretion of Traction Circle Club. TCC is capable of classifying and identifying non-compliant cars. i.e B16/B18/B20/turbo or supercharger

TCC Reserve the rights to reclassify cars, reject entry, change event format at their discretion.


START PROCEDURE

Participants will gather near the pit exit 30 minutes from the start of event time. All cars to start with their respective groups based on the above classifications. They will be positioned behind the safety car based on their time taken prior to CCT, actual time to be advised during trackday. It is the participant's responsibility to proof their time based on Sepang's timesheet, MyLaps, Speedhives or any other official timing apps. If the participant is unable to proof their time, they will be placed behind cars who are able to show proof and the final decision will be at the discretion of the marshals. 

All cars within the same group will start from pit exit based on their allocated position. A safety car with a blinker will lead them out of the pit exit and it will exit on Turn 15. No overtaking is allowed until  thepass Sepang start line.

"RED FLAGS" will be displayed after completion of 5 laps by  the 1st driver.  This will signal the end of the CCT. Cars are to exit the circuit after they pass the finishing line to complete the lap and then exit  right after.

All flags should be observed. If any participant fails to adhere to this, they will be disqualified immediately


Tires

Only road tyres with a UTQG (treadwear) rating higher than 140 are allowed. If you are unsure, please check with TCC.

*TCC reserve the rights to turn away "unqualified" tires.

Traction Circle Club reserves the rights to cancel the event, change any of the above mentioned rules, reject any participants and the list of rules/rights is non exhaustive.
